Juventus enjoyed another successful campaign during 2002/03, securing their 27th Serie A championship and reaching the UEFA Champions League final under Marcello Lippi.
Having won the Italian league title the previous season, Juventus entered the new campaign looking to retain their domestic crown and secure their first Champions League triumph since 1996. The squad featured established players including Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedvěd, Gianluigi Buffon, Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta, Edgar Davids and Mauro Camoranesi.
Lippi continued to develop a competitive side built around defensive organisation, midfield quality and the attacking partnership of Del Piero and Trezeguet.
Juventus remained among the leading teams in Serie A throughout the campaign, eventually securing the championship with 72 points, seven ahead of second-placed Inter Milan. Del Piero finished as the club's leading league goalscorer with 16 goals, while Nedvěd enjoyed one of the finest seasons of his career.
The Czech midfielder became particularly influential in an advanced midfield role, contributing important goals and performances as Juventus challenged for domestic and European honours.
In the Champions League, Juventus progressed through both group stages before facing Barcelona in the quarter-finals. Following a 1–1 draw in Turin, Juventus secured a memorable 2–1 victory after extra time at the Camp Nou, with Marcelo Zalayeta scoring the decisive goal.
The Bianconeri subsequently faced defending champions Real Madrid in the semi-finals, overturning a 2–1 first-leg defeat with an impressive 3–1 victory in Turin. Nedvěd scored Juventus' third goal in the second leg, although a late yellow card resulted in his suspension for the final.
Juventus faced AC Milan at Old Trafford in the first all-Italian Champions League final. Following a goalless draw after extra time, Milan secured a 3–2 victory in the penalty shootout. Despite the disappointment, Juventus' league title and European final appearance represented another successful campaign under Lippi.
Nedvěd's outstanding performances were subsequently recognised with the 2003 Ballon d'Or, establishing him among the leading players in European football.
Produced by Lotto, the 2002/03 classic European home shirt featured Juventus' traditional black-and-white vertical stripes with the Tamoil sponsor, as worn during the club's Champions League campaign. Associated with memorable victories over Barcelona and Real Madrid, the shirt represents Juventus' run to the 2003 Champions League final and one of Nedvěd's finest seasons.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.

Protecting prints, badges and sponsor logos
- Do not iron directly over prints, namesets, patches or sponsor logos
