Feyenoord enjoyed a memorable 2001/02 campaign under Bert van Marwijk, winning the UEFA Cup for the second time in the club's history and securing their first major European trophy since 1974.
Having finished second in the Eredivisie the previous season, Feyenoord entered the campaign determined to challenge for domestic honours while competing in the UEFA Champions League. The squad featured influential players including Pierre van Hooijdonk, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Shinji Ono, Paul Bosvelt, Brett Emerton, Robin van Persie and goalkeeper Edwin Zoetebier.
Feyenoord began their European campaign in the Champions League, progressing through the first group stage before finishing third in their second group-stage section.
The result saw Van Marwijk's side enter the UEFA Cup, where they produced an impressive series of performances against established European opposition. Feyenoord eliminated Freiburg and Rangers before facing PSV Eindhoven in an all-Dutch quarter-final.
Following two closely contested matches, the Rotterdam club progressed on penalties, securing a place in the semi-finals against Inter Milan. A 1–0 victory at San Siro, followed by a 2–2 draw at De Kuip, secured a 3–2 aggregate triumph and Feyenoord's place in the final.
The final against Borussia Dortmund took place at De Kuip, providing Feyenoord with the opportunity to secure European silverware in their home stadium.
Van Hooijdonk scored twice in the first half, including a penalty and a free-kick, before Tomasson added a third goal after the interval. Despite Dortmund's attempts to recover, Feyenoord secured a memorable 3–2 victory and lifted the UEFA Cup.
Van Hooijdonk finished as the competition's leading scorer with eight goals, playing a decisive role throughout the knockout stages.
Domestically, Feyenoord finished third in the Eredivisie, behind champions Ajax and runners-up PSV Eindhoven. Although the league championship remained out of reach, the UEFA Cup triumph represented one of the club's most significant achievements of the modern era.
Produced by Kappa, the 2001/02 Feyenoord home shirt featured the club's traditional red-and-white half-and-half design, with contrasting sleeves, a distinctive collar and the Stad Rotterdam Verzekeringen sponsor. Incorporating the Feyenoord crest and Kappa branding, the shirt became closely associated with Van Hooijdonk, Tomasson and Ono during the club's memorable European campaign.
Worn during the season that culminated in the 2002 UEFA Cup triumph at De Kuip, the design represents one of the most celebrated periods in Feyenoord's modern history.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
