Chelsea wore this home shirt across the 1999/00 and 2000/01 campaigns, a period featuring FA Cup success, a memorable UEFA Champions League debut and managerial changes at Stamford Bridge.
Under player-manager Gianluca Vialli, Chelsea entered the 1999/00 season with a squad featuring established internationals including Gianfranco Zola, Frank Leboeuf, Marcel Desailly, Dennis Wise, Gustavo Poyet, Roberto Di Matteo and Tore André Flo.
Chelsea finished fifth in the Premier League with 65 points, securing another season of European qualification. Flo finished as the club's leading league goalscorer with 19 goals, while Poyet contributed important goals from midfield.
The Blues also enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the UEFA Champions League, progressing through both group stages before facing Barcelona in the quarter-finals. A memorable 3–1 victory at Stamford Bridge gave Chelsea an advantage, but a 5–1 defeat after extra time at the Camp Nou resulted in a 6–4 aggregate elimination.
Chelsea's greatest achievement came in the FA Cup, where they progressed to the final against Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium. A second-half goal from Di Matteo secured a 1–0 victory, delivering Chelsea's third FA Cup and the final edition of the competition to be staged at the original Wembley before its redevelopment.
The following season began with another trophy, as Chelsea defeated Manchester United 2–0 in the FA Charity Shield. However, Vialli departed in September 2000 following an inconsistent start to the Premier League campaign, with Claudio Ranieri appointed as his replacement.
Under Ranieri, Chelsea gradually improved their performances, with new arrivals including Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink becoming increasingly influential. Hasselbaink enjoyed an exceptional debut season, scoring 23 Premier League goals to win the Golden Boot.
Chelsea eventually finished sixth in the Premier League with 61 points, while their domestic cup campaigns ended before the final stages.
Although the two seasons brought contrasting league performances, the FA Cup triumph and Champions League quarter-final appearance represented important achievements during Chelsea's development before the club's subsequent period of sustained success.
Produced by Umbro, the 1999–2001 Chelsea kids home shirt featured the club's traditional royal-blue design with contrasting white detailing and the Autoglass sponsor. Worn by Zola, Wise, Desailly and Di Matteo during Chelsea's 2000 FA Cup triumph, the shirt represents a memorable period at Stamford Bridge and the club's emergence as a competitive force in European football.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.

Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from damp environments or direct sunlight
- For long-term storage, fold carefully to avoid stressing prints and badges
- If hanging, use a wide/padded hanger to help maintain shape
Protecting prints, badges and sponsor logos
- Do not iron directly over prints, namesets, patches or sponsor logos
