Arsenal enjoyed an impressive 2022/23 campaign under Mikel Arteta, finishing second in the Premier League and securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in six seasons.
Having finished fifth the previous season, Arsenal entered the campaign determined to return to European football's leading competition and establish themselves among the Premier League's strongest sides. The squad featured influential players including Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Granit Xhaka, William Saliba and Aaron Ramsdale, alongside summer arrival Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Arteta's side began the season in outstanding form, winning their opening five league fixtures and establishing themselves as genuine title contenders.
Arsenal remained at the top of the Premier League for much of the campaign, combining an energetic attacking approach with improved defensive organisation. Their performances included memorable victories over Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, while Ødegaard, Saka and Martinelli provided consistent attacking contributions.
The Gunners entered the closing stages of the season in a strong position, although a series of draws and defeats during April and May allowed Manchester City to gain the advantage.
Despite their impressive campaign, Arsenal were unable to maintain their title challenge, with City eventually securing the championship as part of a historic treble. Arsenal finished second with 84 points, recording 26 league victories and scoring 88 goals.
Ødegaard and Martinelli finished as the club's joint leading Premier League scorers with 15 goals each, while Saka contributed 14 league goals and 11 assists.
In the UEFA Europa League, Arsenal progressed through the group stage before being eliminated by Sporting CP on penalties in the Round of 16. Their FA Cup campaign ended in the fourth round against Manchester City, while Brighton & Hove Albion eliminated them from the League Cup in the third round.
Although the season ended without silverware, Arsenal's second-place finish represented significant progress under Arteta and established the foundations for another Premier League title challenge.
Produced by adidas, the 2022/23 Arsenal third shirt featured a distinctive pale-pink colourway with a subtle ermine-inspired pattern, complemented by contrasting navy detailing. Incorporating the Arsenal crest, adidas branding and the Emirates Fly Better sponsor, the design offered an unusual alternative to the club's traditional red-and-white home colours.
Worn during a campaign in which Arsenal challenged for the Premier League title and secured a return to the Champions League, the shirt became associated with Arteta's emerging squad and the performances of Ødegaard, Saka and Martinelli. Its distinctive colourway makes it a recognisable example of Arsenal's early-2020s alternative designs.

Condition
Each item is individually inspected and graded by our team to ensure an accurate representation of its condition.
Every item at The Soccer Archive is individually assessed and graded on our condition scale out of 10. This rating takes into account the overall quality of the fabric, print, badges and any natural signs of wear that come with age.
Most pieces we sell are vintage or pre-owned, meaning small signs of age can be part of their character.
Our condition guide
10/10 - Brand New with Tags
Outstanding condition with no noticeable flaws. Tags may or may not be present, but the item shows little to no sign of wear.
9/10 - Mint
Very strong vintage condition. May show the lightest signs of storage or previous wear, but nothing that distracts from the item overall.
8/10 - Excellent
A well-kept piece with minor signs of age or use. This could include light bobbling, slight fading or very small marks, but it still presents really well.
7/10 - Very Good
Noticeable wear consistent with age. This may include moderate fading, small pulls, bobbling, minor cracking to print or a small mark.
6/10 and below - Good with Noticeable Signs of Wear
More obvious signs of wear or ageing. This might include heavier fading, marks, pulls, print wear or repairs.
Any notable flaws will always be highlighted in the product description and imagery.
